FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:

A - Large floral or print 1.5 mtrs

B - Contrasting fabric .5 mts

c - Small print matching A .4 mtr

D - Second contrast .7 mtr

E - Highligt Fabric .2 mtr

Binding .5 mtr.

CUTTING

CUT a INTO 2 X 8.5" STRIPS AND CROSS CUT INTO 6 X 8.5" SQUARES -LEAVE REMAIDER FOR OUTER BORDER.

CUT B INTO 5 X 3" STRIPS

CUT C INTO 4 X 3" STRIPS

CUT D INTO 3 X 11.75" SQUARES CROSS CUT TWICE (INSERT TRIANGLES)

PLUS 1 X 8.5" SQUARES CROSS CUT TWICE (CORNER TRIANGLES)

FIRST BORDER CUT E INTO 4 X 1.5" STRIPS

OUTER BORDER USE A CUT 5 X 6.5" STRIPS.

CONSTRUCTION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Join 2 set of a strip of B to C and B together length wise (set 1)

2. Join 1 set of C, B, C strips length wise (set 2)

3. Cross cut al sets into 3" wide strips.

4. Join a set 1 to a set 2 and another set 1 to make a 8.5" square (make 12squares).

5. Join a corner triangle to top and an inset triangle to either side of one 9 patch square.

6. Join a 9 patch to either side of an 8.5" square and an inset triangle to either end.

7. Join this to the first row.

8. Use 3 9 patch squares and two feature squres in the next row with a corner triangle on one end and and inset square on the other.

9. Repeat the last row with the corner triangles and the inset triangle on the opersit ends.

10. Continue to join the rows as you piece and now repeat step 6 and then step 5.

11. Join the first border around the quilt - both sides then top and bottom.

12. Join on the last border as above.
